First of all..today is our daughter & son in law's 8th anniversary! Congratulations Doug & Kari!
Second of all, it's my turn to post, i.e., Charlotte.
This morning we were up bright and early to get to the market just down the street. We were expecting a bunch of tables in the main square, but were very surprised to see the entire downtown filled with everything from a-z. You name it, it was probably there. I'm in love with the Provencial linens, and subsequently scoped out how we can ship stuff back. It's cheaper than having another piece of luggage, so now I can really 'shop'!
We had made plans to go to a neighborhood type restaurant in St-Roman-de-Malegarde called Chez Claudette, with a Canadian couple we've met and their friends who live here part of the year. Can't say much about the beef, but the other 3 courses were great, especially the chocolate mousse...all for 11 euros. We had a really nice conversation with them, but it's surprising for us how passionate a couple of these people are about US politics. Those that know me know that I'm just NOT. Then the topic quickly changes to...is there life after death? Interesting afternoon conversation for sure. After that we stopped by the store (we're getting really good with that stuff) and went by the winery to fortify our supplies.
The evening was spent have cheese, crackers, wine and raspberries out in the patio area, looking at the best view in town, Mt. Ventoux.
Tomorrow we're planning to hike from Vaison-la Romaine to Crestet.
Bon Nuit
