A Day in Antibes

Got a leisurely start this morning.  Found a boulangerie where we got some quiche and coffee for breakfast (and a croissant for later in the day).  Went for a walk towards Cap D'Antibes - started out mostly along a roadway and then turned into a path along the coast.  Great views along the way.  And the day turned out to be quite warm and a little bit humid.  Quite a few large "villas" along the way - several of which had a great deal of security (cameras and motion detectors).  Of course you would have to get over the 10' wall first.

Walked through some back streets to get back to our apartment.  Relaxed this afternoon and checked out the water temp in the Mediterranean - cooler than expected but warmer than the pools at the last two rentals.  Had a nice dinner just up the street and took a little walk so we could get in our 20,000+ steps for today (that works out to ten miles).  So if anyone is keeping track (like we are) we have now walked over 138 miles (with more to come)!!!

So the driving question of the day - if the garbage truck has the lane blocked and you are driving a motorcycle what do you do?

1) Wait for the truck to move on?
2) Pass on the left when it is safe?
3) Drive on the sidewalk on the right?

According to the French Driving Manual the correct answer is 3 - love the French!!!

Until tomorrow - au revoir.
