Had some cool, wet weather move in so we decided to hang around the gite and catch up on some laundry and reading. The weather is supposed to dry up later today but the the mistral wind (cold and gusty) will be here for a day on Monday. Actually watched some English TV and did some reading.
Made reservations at a restaurant in a small village near here named Villars. Arrived about 7:15PM (so much later than happy hour at home) and sat inside due to the weather. This restaturant was recommended by our hosts and they did not let us down. Three course meal which included an incredible ceasar salad (with very lean bacon) followed by the main course of chicken for Charlotte and sea bass (bar) for Steve. We had about 7-8 desserts to choose from - Charlotte picked tiramisu (with raspberry sauce) and Steve had creme brulee. Wonferful meal and wonderful service - very traditional setting.
Planning to go to Pont du Gard - the Roman aqueduct - tomorrow. Hoping the weather breaks.
