We have gotten into the mode of just hanging out locally and relaxing as much as possible. This morning we stopped by the post office (La Poste) and bought the XL box to ship some things home. Then went to the Thursday market which was a combo flea market along with other clothing and personal items. It was great listening to the gal hawking her 5 euro two-piece swim suits (end of the season clearance).
Checked out a few more shops and then back to the apartment for much needed beach time. We also got the XL box all packed up and ready to go - everything fit and it was less than the maximum weight - yeah!!
Went to dinner at a place we had spotted on the internet and tried to have dinner there the other night - L'Aubergine. It was one of the best dinners we have had. Charlotte had a salad with toast and a tuna spread followed by salmon and then fruit with cream for dessert. Steve stepped out with escargot for a starter followed by bouillabaisse (lots of white fish, salmon, mussels and scampi) and then ice cream with Grand Marnier (which was spelled in chocolate sauce on the plate just in case I forgot). A wonderful experience - and we vistied with a young couple from NY city who sat right next to us. Of course we wrapped up dinner at about 10PM (no early dinners out here).
