Les Baux-de-Provence

We had read, seen and heard a lot about this village so we headed off using Hilda to guide the way.  This town is amazing - it is made up of a ruined castle and ancient houses carved into the rock at the top of a rock spur.  It is hard to describe and pictures barely do it justice.

Lots of tourists jamming the very narrow streets and lots of small shops.

On the way home Hilda took us a different route (probably because Steve took a wrong turn) and we traveled several miles flanked by plane trees.  An incredible sight.

And them home for some pool time, apres by the pool and some dinner in tonight.  Heading to Cassis (on the Mediterranean) tomorrow for a boat trip and more sight-seeing.
