Pont du Gard

After a good "American" breakfast (coffee, eggs, ham and a croissant) we headed off towards the Pont du Gard (on the other side of Avignon).  We decided to hike from a small town nearby (have to get those miles in) and were not disappointed.  It is amazing to see the ruins along the way and then see something that is over 2,000 years old and such an incredible feat of engineering.

This is the first time we have met up with multiple tour buses - very popular place.  Walked back to the town we started from and grabbed a Coke and a Drumstick - yummy snack.  Unfortunately we had to drive back through Avignon - pretty busy place.  The large bus in front of us was leaking diesel - made for a slippery start at the stop signs.

No apres by the pool tonight - still chilly and a bit windy.  Had dinner in - breast of poulet, salad and Camp Finses potatoes (made in the oven with fresh rosemary from right outside our door and spices) - and of course a nice glass of rose.  Some glace is yet to come.

Tomorrow is market day in St. Sat so we are looking forward to that - hoping to get some fresh seafood that the vendor brings up from Marseille.  Then more exploring and hiking (and hopefully some pool time).  Au revoir for now.
