Another beautiful day in Provence. Had our usual french breakfast this morning and visited with a couple from Seattle. Today we decided it was time for a hike to a nearby village called Crestet. We headed out a little before 9:30AM and used our trusty hiking book to lead the way. Going to the village was pretty easy - mostly paved/improved road and then a short stretch of wide graveled path. Got to the village in about an 90 minutes. Walked around a bit and saw the entire village in about 20-30 minutes.
Headed back to Vaison on a different route - a very narrow path that was originally used for the locals to get from Vaison to Crestet.
Then had to walk along a busy road for a mile or so. Had some lunch in the old part of Vaison and then walked into town to visit the roman ruins.
We walked about 10 miles today (20,000+ steps) so we are a bit tired. Having a glass of wine at the B&B and relaxing.
Tomorrow we take a driving trip to Mont Ventoux (one of the major climbs on the Tour-de-France). Should be a nice change.
We are off to the Super-U to get some basics. Hope all is well with everyone back in the states.
Until tomorrow - au revoir.
