Starting our third week in St. Saturnin-les-Apt

This morning we said our goodbye to the town of Bonnieux and our new friends from Belgium.  Stopped at the Pont Julien bridge which is a short distance from Bonnieux.  The bridge was built in 3BC - hard to imagine something built that long ago still standing.

Since we had a short drive to St. Sat we drove through Rouission (a town we will visit later this week) and arrived at our gite about 10:30.  Since the unit was not ready (as we expected) we walked into town and did some exploring.  It is a very nice village and was not very busy at all.

There was a large group of old cars that passed through while we were there - very colorful and very noisy.

Got to our gite about 3PM, unpacked a bit and headed to the pool.  Later in the afternoon (actually around 6:30) our hosts have a time to sit around the pool, have a drink and chat.  Our hosts (David and Karen) are very nice and her mom is visiting from England.

Here are some pictures of our gite (there are two rooms - kitchen/lounging area and bedroom/bath area).

The rain arrived this evening and the mistral wind is supposed to be coming as well.  Sun in a day or two but cooler temperatures (which will be nice).  We have several more areas to visit in Provence before we head to the French Riviera next Saturday.  Will be heading to Apt tomorrow to stock up on some food and other items.
