We spent most of Saturday looking around Salzburg including sights in the old town and the fortress. We visited several old churches, including one that was built in the side of the hill.
Since we were going to a concert at the fortress we took the funicular up to the fortress and had a very good meal at a restaurant up there. Unfortunately towards the end of our meal they rushed us out so they could get ready for all of the concert goers who paid for a dinner with the concert. The views from the fortress over the city are amazing.
The concert was very good. There were seven string players who played music by Mozart, Haydn and others. And there was a pianist for a few of the selections.
Tomorrow we head to Berchtesgaden and Hitler's Eagles Nest.
