In just a few short weeks we will be departing for a much anticipated vacation in Provence. The list of things to do and things to buy continues to shrink (and be double-checked to make sure we have not forgotten anything) and the final payments are being made for lodging and transportation.
The biggest "wrinkle" is the unexpected knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus in Charlotte's left knee. She will be spending the month of August rehabilitating the knee and surrounding muscles and we are confident she will be ready for our departure on August 31.
It is going to be nice to transition from all of the planning and preparation to the act of enjoying what France and Provence have to offer. We look forward to exploring a new region of the world, experiencing the culture, the people and the food, and hopefully make many new friends.
